“There is no try, there is only do or do not.”

Yoda may have been talking with the young Luke Skywalker, but we can certainly apply this wisdom to our daily business activities.  According to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, try is defined as “to make an attempt at” and the definition of do is “to perform; execute; to bring about; produce.”  Big difference.

When it comes to your marketing plan, it is critical you look at it as something you do, not something you try.  Trying implies that you will have “a go at it” and see what happens.  It definitely doesn’t project confidence or commitment.  Doing implies just the opposite.

Be diligent each day in actually doing the strategies that you have laid out in your marketing plan.  Don’t go at it half-heartedly.  Remember, there is “no try.”

Keep it disciplined.
