day planner

The calendar is an important tool for your marketing because business ebbs and flows depending on industry, season, weather, day, holiday, time, etc.   For instance, if you are operating a landscaping business, then you know you’re busy from Spring to Fall, CPA firms are slammed during tax season, and bars are hopping in the evening and on the weekends.  But you already know this!

So how are you coordinating your marketing efforts in a way that compliments your business?  Do you even have a calendar devoted to marketing? Are you looking ahead or barely keeping up?  You know what they say, “If it’s not on the calendar, then it will never get done.”

Take a minute to schedule in marketing meetings for this month.  Decide who amongst your staff will participate.  If you’re a one-person show, then start by dedicating a specific time each week for planning.
